18" Rear Wheels with 17" Front Wheels?

18" Rear Wheels with 17" Front Wheels? I am thinking about doing this. Is it possible for the computer to recognize this setup? The reason I want to do this is because when I lowered my car, it dropped about 3/4 or and inch more in the front so I really have a 1 in. fender gap over the front wheels. But in the back there is still like a 2 in. gap. I want a bigger wheel to fill in the area but not in the front because I know it will rub or something. I'm thinking 18x10" on the back and 17x9.5" on the front. Will this work and do you have any pics?

Re: 18" Rear Wheels with 17" Front Wheels? I did it with no problem, but I didn't have the car lowered. The 18's will fill in the gap, but also raise that end of the car.

Re: 18" Rear Wheels with 17" Front Wheels? I have 17's in the front and 18's in the back. The car is lowered also with granatelli springs. I have no problems with it. Should not be a problem for you. Mine are 99 C5 rims and they fit fine.

Re: 18" Rear Wheels with 17" Front Wheels? I was running the y2ks a few years back and did notice a slight braking problem at first.It seemed like the ABS would kick in on the freeway at high speeds. It stopped after awhile so Im assuming the computer corrected itself or something???
