thanks man am doing my bro inlaws vette we will have pics installed soon i could put on the camaro but no engine in her lol u cant get the whole effect so i will post up some installed pics soon on a 2000 vette okay...

all you gotta do is sand the strust with 1000 or steel wool to remove the paint, and its bare aluminum underneath. i did this to mine and it looked great for a while but every motnh or so surface rust would develope and they would need to be sanded and repolished, i got tired of that so i just painted mine back. i suppose you could clear them tho...

just use a polish that leaves a silicone coat after u polish blue magic metal polish will do that....just have to polish them when u clean your car takes few min .......

yeah u can use steal wool but u wont get the results like mine i am a machinist if that sheds some light on how i do it ......

Yeah, those are pretty. They look kind of yellowish in the pic, guess is a picture thing.

If you want them to shine almost like chrome:

Clean the black off with 320 grit sand paper or a wire wheel.

Then sand the bare metal with 400 grit...then 800...then 1000...then 1500...and finish it by wet sanding it with 1500. After that polish with a high quality metal polish (if you have a bench grinder use it with a polishing wheel.) After than put a quality clear coat on them or they will rust. I used some extra POR-15 Glisten I had, but any automotive gradeclear will work fine.

It should only take an hour or so a piece to do them.

takes me less than 15 min man......for both.......
