Default Cracked converter!!!

I have had a bad leak, and pulled the tranny.. I found that my hub on the Torque converter was cracked.. I have a TCI 3500 stall, and i was wondering if anyone knew where, or if anyone could replace the hub on my converter.. thanks, john.

TCI is generally pretty good about taking care of their converters when there is a problem. There was a TCI rep who used to post here years ago and was a nice guy. His name was Kevin Winstead. Try calling them on Monday.

Really I am positive that mine was not the Converter problem my builder said it was the flexplate and I changed it. I also put on a UMI tunnel mount Torque Arm to take the pressure of the trans so far so good.

Man sorry to hear that, but i've seen this before with cheaper converters.
In the long run you're just better off dropping the extra cash for a Yank or
a Vigilante. Those stalls have proven super reliable since time began, and you
dont want to take the chance of doing damage to a $2,000+ 4L60-E just to
save a few bucks...but i hope you get everything worked out and i wish ya luck
that the tranny didn't suffer any for that converter issue..Take care.

^^ well it actually did, but i wasnt anything too serious and i had the tranny gone through just to be safe, but nothing major got turn up..also gave the opportunity to replace the clutces, even though they had 4 months on them.. i just thought it was a good idea..

also i have seen many guys have a lot of luck with their TCI converters, and i was really happy with mine..

about 10 months ago i put my stall in, and the origanal TC bolts stripped and i couldnt get them out so i tried to chizel them out and that wouldnt work.. so i welded a new bolt to the old bolt and got it out that way... so i kinda feel like the heat and hitting probably bent the Flexplate which caused my TC to be unbalanced which tore it up.. so i dont really blame TCI, thats why I think im gonna get it rebuilt...
