Which converter?
Is that something that will improve ET?
Do any sponsors make one like that? I'm leaning more towards performance than streetability, although not too far.
I had a PT4000 in my Z with 3.73s so I'm used to "loose" converters. No rush as its in storage til the snow melts. I want to be ready when the time comes.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
It's the ultimate set up IMO. It ran 7.37 in the 1/8th and drives like stock. That's all motor. We get to have our cake and eat it too

If you plan on a bigger cam and want a little bit looser, yet efficient converter the 4.5C or 5C will rock ya hard!
Circle D also specializes in multi-disc lock up converters. I have locked up our 5C in our quicker car and picked up a couple mph, but the ET didn't improve much. I think a power adder car would see a sizable gain locking it up on the top end. We just don't do the power adder thing.
Good luck!
I have one score to settle ('69 Mercury Cyclone 434ci big block pretty quick). Also there is someone with his 4th Mustang - supposedly blown - and I have smoked his previous 3, so I'd like to be able to beat him again.

I'm thinking something in the 4000-4400 range. I wanna do it once and do it RIGHT!

I would not change the 3.23s. They are very strong and the 5C will make up for the lack of gear.
They won't know what hit them.lol.
with that said i would probably only go with what i have yank ss4000 pulling 1.38 fts cam only 3275 racweight...or the circle d described above...

what size was that circle d again?
