Who is Running a 5c converter from Circle D
I'm looking for a new converter and the 5c is on the top of my list. Has anyone had any problems with these and what kind of 60' are you running with what mods. last summers setup ran 12.45-12.6 with 2.73 gear and a tci3500 on a bolt on car this winter i have added a 12 bolt with 4.10 and plan on doing a head and cam combo from texas speed with the 5.3 heads and a ms4.

Also interested as I just ordered mine. Price was unbeatable. Chris was great to talk to, and answered all of my questions... plus he didn't haggle me into spending out of my price range and told me what he thought would work best INSIDE of my price range. Very helpful and courteous. Can't wait to get it. Thanks to Circle D.

I run a 5C in my Trans Am. It hits real hard at launch and pulls strong up top as well. It's amazingly streetable (relatively speaking) for such a large converter and has a nice positive lockup. I've been running it since April this year and put about 5K miles without a problem. You may want to look at the 4C for your setup and restall when you upgrade the heads and cam.

Well you should have known I was going to step into this thread. I swapped from a 4C to a 5C in our quicker car and with no other changes, this is what happened.lol.
Granted this was with pretty stout 408 and good air, but I never expected it. The 5C put down 1.29 60fts for us and that's an all motor pump gas car at a little over 3300#s with a 4L60E.
It's a great converter!

I have some pics of the wheels up (seems to happen almost every time with this converter), but nothing like that. Of course I'm still on 16" DR's so I can't complain.

The gears at that time were 3.90s (I wish i still had them).
The 5C I was using was a Stage II " Competition Billet Series". It sure got the job done.
I'm running their 8" race converter now since we swapped to the powerglide and it is definitely doing us right. Stay tuned
