is my trans or verter toast?
hey guys, so i recently got my car tuned and the day we tuned it, it shifted fine, ran great, etc. The next day i took it to a town 35min away and noticed that when i went WOT it would just bounce off the rev limiter and not shift at all....so i adjusted the tune on the trans and nothing is happening, i even moved my shift points to 5400 with the rev limit at 7k and it does the exact same ****...what do you guys think? i'll attach my log, notice that when i go wide open my rpms climb dangerously high and my speed doesnt even change, also when cruising at 25 at one point for no reason the rpms just started climbing to 4-5k...any help is appreciated..thanks!

did you change the mph of said shift point. The computer needs to see that the mph and rpm have both been met to make the shift. Did you just install the converter, you could be in limp mode which basically locks you out of all gears but 3rd so it will feal like its slipping like hell..

Then get a new trans. Can't diagnose it without all the info.
If it's slipping its slipping.
No codes either I take it, did your tuner tune them out?
With the info provided, sounds like you need a real person to look at it. Not the internet.
FYI, your O2 sensors are dead, tuner didn't catch that? I see why he doesn't want his name around.

LMAO!!! Its tuned in SDOL genious......... I tuned the car, but im not the one who requested that the tune not be placed on the net. I assume that is the person who did the trans tuning which is a VERY reputable tuner on this site, and fifdy had to pay for it, so why would he give that **** out for free?? I have a slight idea what im doing, so if its up to me, post that bitch up!

I'll admit, I'm not the best at engine tuning but I've become damn good at trans tuning. Theres nothing to it, so why hide it, after all it's fucked up so it's not like everyones going to be mass downloading a fucked up tune.
Either the tune is put up or delete the damn post and let someone put their hands on it.
Diagnosing a trans tune problem over the internet without the tune to look at is like taking the car to a mechanic and having him wear a blindfold because you don't want him to see your set up, does that make sense? Not to me.

well here, ill post up the tune without the trans tune he is talking about in it, and you can fix it to your specs. Sounds like a deal to me! You can tell me exactly what is wrong with it and everything that needs to be done...... Then he can upload it and let you know how it works.

Not sure why you'd give me a tune that he's not using to work with.
All these DTC's need to be changed to 3-no error reported:
101
102
103
751
Personally I'd set all the ones you changed to no report.
And change all the misfire tables to 32767
Put the trans diagnostics back to stock.
Fuel Cutoff RPM Limits- back to stock. (not cutoff rpm vs gear)
Put the Full Throttle Enable to 90% Disable to 80%
Trans general pressure table is not showing up along with various other things, somethings up with that.
Now that I look at it, I'd say the trans is fried from running in limp mode caused by the misfire tables being set stock.
With a 3600 converter it might be hard to tell it was starting off in 2nd all the time, which is what a stock misfire table sometimes does.
I'd at least take the pan off the trans, break the filter open and see whats in it.

why would we put the fuel cutoff rpm limits back to stock??? All the tables in that tune are the only tables that show up with his vin. This is the tune file, just the trans tuning he was told not to post (I guess) is different. The rest is the same.

i just changed the misfire tables in the tune, which im sure the other tune he had already has done. We did notice we thought the trans was slipping during a WOT run during tuning. Fifdy, perhaps yank the pan and filter, and put new fluid in it and try it again. Your tune should have the misfire tables correct, but if not ill send it to you.

Cutoff rpm vs gear is the rev limiter.
Also there are changes made for ETC fitted vehicles. I prefer to keep those stock on cable throttle vehicles because it doesn't clutter up your change log, and when showing tunes it doesn't show so many changes, and most of all they do nothing if you have a cable throttle.
DO NOT just change the fluid and filter. BREAK OPEN the filter and unfold the material, thats where you find the bad stuff.
