Default 1-2 shift issue

Occasionally, it seems like the 1-2 shift is a bit premature and it feels like it jerks into gear kind of hard.

If it early and occasional i would think a sensor or tuning issue would be the cause.

What sensor could it be? The tuning is stock.

Here's a bit of background info and the latest update.

Other times when I'm going very easy on the accelerator there's a nice, smooth 1-2 shift. Should I take it back and have him look for something?

You aren't throwing a P1870 code are you? That will cause a VERY hard 1-2 shift (among other things).

No. No codes right now. When I'm going very easy on the throttle, it's a nice smooth shift. I posted another thread and someone pointed out the shift kit I now have. I haven't had a shift kit in over two years. I had one in my old '95 Z28. I guess I'm just not used to getting a firm shift so early in the RPM band, like around 2K.
