- invert the sense of the 2-3 shift solenoid signal using a relay,
- drive the TCC PWM signal from either TCC On/Off, or from TCC PWM gated by TCC On/Off thru a relay;
studying the HMTG's will show that that's what is needed.

im in the middle of a 4l80 swap but i have 2 questions....
i bought the spear tech adapter harness without realizing the segment swap that results in losing lockup when you let off the throttle.are you all saying that now that isnt a issue anymore and i dont have to modify my harness pins?
secondly if i buy slow67's method,does the round plug from my 4l60e reach the connecting point on the 4l80 or does it have to be extended?

I've been wanting to respond to you but I dont think that I have the answer for you.
I just used that speartech harness harness adapters and then had the tuner add the 80e bin file to my tune. But I havent payed any attention to the lockup and only have a LS6 cam.

I am trying to figure out what I want to do with my 5.3L/4L80E combo...
I planned on doing the segment swap but I sent my Tune to HP tuners and they said I have to get a dealership to flash my PCM to the new 9381344 OS before they can do the segment swap.
Has everyone else here that has done the segment swap had to do this?
My PCM is from a 99 Camaro M6.
None of the dealerships seemed confident at all they they could do this OS update correctly and I got price quotes from $100-$300. Seems pretty high.
At $300 and a chance they might screw it up the relay mod is looking like a better option at this point.
