Default 1993 4L60 5 Pin TCC connector converted to 92 and older?

Since the 93 transmissions are hard to find, and I live in Hawaii. I was thinking of getting a 92 transmission rebuilt by one of our reputable vendors here, and converting the 5 pin connector in mine to a 4 pin connector. Has anyone ever done this? The 93 is a one year only transmission.

Yes, I believe you can. In fact, they tell you how to do this on this link: http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/Chev...stallation.cfm

under the picture of the connector, where it says Wiring Harness Computer-Controlled Vehicles:...

Sent you a pm also.

The link tells you how to use a 93 in a 92 and older. I need to figure the other way, a 92 in the 93. The 5 pins have 5 wires for a reason, I believe.

Ah ok, sorry. That's strange...my car is a 93 but I have a 4 pin connector, not 5. Maybe I have an early 4L60? Or a 700R4?

I sent ya pics of the connector I have.

Possible, My 93 Vette has speed density, yet a friends had MAF.
Hell, my paint has four different paint codes for the Ruby Red 40th color.

Default 1993 4l60 5 Pin TCC to older 4 Pin

Did you ever get this figured out? I have the exact same issue, 1993 Z28 with 4L60 5 Pin wiring and I want to run a 1988 4l60 with a 4 pin until I can get the 1993 transmission rebuilt. Thanks for any help!

Default 5 pin verses 4 pin.

Just put the 1993 Transmission harness and pressure switches on the 1988 Transmission.

This link talks a little about the 93s differences, in the Calibration section.
