Ok i have some other news i didnt know. He is telling me he can start the car in N, but when he puts his foot on the brake and go into D it dies. I asked him if he could just start the car in N and pop it into D without hitting the brake without it dying. He says yes, but as soon he applies the brake the car dies. Same goes with starting in P and going into R.
Could this still either be the stall or the lockout solenoid or something else?

An easy test is to block off the brake booster (large bolt with a hose clamp) and test. Just remember your brake pedal will be hard as a rock until you plug it back in.

Ok, we just jacked up the rear of the car to get the rear wheels off the ground. We started the car and put the car in N. Applied the brake and shifted into D. The tires started to spin. We pressed the brakes and the wheels slightly came to a stop, but the wheels still spun slowly. Now we did it again but applied the E brake while in D. The wheels came to a complete stop and the car died.
So what does this mean?
