Question What Can Cause A Stall Converter To Brake ??

I was wondering what can cause a stall converter to brake? Also what is the most likely reason that would cause one to brake or fail?
Thanks

If the pump failed, you would have no gears at all. That sounds like a clutch pack about to let go.
