Default Is a 4k stall worth the money for a bolt on car?

I was thinking about getting a stall for my bolt on Z. Lots of guys on here told me that a 4k would be the one to go with. Is it worth the money for just a bolt on car?

If you want to get that auto out the hole then yea. It was the last thing I did to my T/A but if I could redo everything it would be the first.

I would do a 3600 if you drive the car in town a lot, but yes. It is the absolute best mod for an auto car.

Hope you have good tires

It's a weekend toy only. Going to order some mt et streets! I have the money for a stall now. Just want to make sure it's worth it before I pull the trigger.

Yes! Get the 4K stall and don't look back, unless you plan on spraying a nice size shot in the future. The 3.73s will help keep it tight driving around town also. MT or Hoosier drag radials is a must if you plan on racing, street and/or track.

Good to hear. No plans for spray. Just heads/cam one day.

Best mod I have done to mine. I only have a 3200 stall. But Love it so far. Made the car a blast to drive. If its a weekend car I say go 4000. You wont be disapointed..

Definitely. 4000 at least, maybe 4400. What's your gearing?

Here's mine with 2.73s.

I want to say 1/2 second drop on a bolt-on car. Worth it.

I went with a 3600, but I'll have Greg at FTI restall it to a 4k later this year. The car now is primarily driven on the weekends, and will eventually become much more drag-oriented. 3600 seems mild now, but my cam spins to 6700. Shifting at the stock 5800-6k would be much different.

4k stall all the way! Gas mileage did drop for sure only because I hit the gas more than I should sometimes but sense your car is a weekend driver/warrior so thats not a problem. It's also a huge gain too it actually sits me back in my seat hard. My 555r's really do hate me but that's because when the converter flash's my suspension unload's which induces wheel spend. I made a best of 1.77 60ft like that and I'm expecting to hit a 1.5X when I finish my suspension(bolt on's only). If you want to go fast N/A then 4k+ is the way to go! Best mod I have done!
