Default 4l60e help

I am having a problem with a 4l60e. The problem started a few weeks ago when It developed a slow/hesitant 2-3 shift at part throttle and hitting the revlimiter at wot. I figured the 2-3 pack/band had taken a crap so I ordered parts to fix it. Well i pulled the tranny out yesterday and the parts were a little worn but nothing to indicate the slow shif or wot flare. I replaced the red clutches with another set and fresh kolene steels as well as a new carbon fiber alto band. I also installed a sonnax servo and boost valve. I put it all back together and am having the same problem a slow/hesitant 2-3 shift especially when cold. It takes 1.2 seconds to shift when cold and feels really sluggish on the 2-3

The 1-2 and 3-4 are great it's just the 2-3
Any suggestions?

Do yourself a favor and get rid of the Alto clutches in the 3-4 pack and go with the Borg Wraner Hi-Energy clutches. You can make it an 8 clutch setup by using the clutches from a 4L60E, or 9 clutch setup by using the clutches from a 4L65E. There are different pressure plates and thickness of steels aand thinner snap ring here to get the right clutch clearance. The Alto band is ok, the Alto clutches leave a lot to be desired.

Well I had them before and they lasted alot longer than the zpak I tried once but I was told more clutches means thinner steels which leads to warpage from heat after a few pulls. So I decided to try the reds. If they don't last I will go back to the Borgs. I thought there was a problem with them when i pulled it apart but they seemed ok a little toasty but not bad. Probably from driving it with the lazy 2-3. The band was also fine. I think there is a failing solenoid or trash somewhere but no codes.

Did you inspect the inside of the pump stator for wear in the area the teflon rings ride. I have seen this several times it will result in the problems your having and repeated 3-4 clutch failure?

Also check the ball & capsule inside the servo bore for leakage.Do you still have the load springs in the 3-4 pack?

Are you sure the plug is not leaking? Those load springs should be put back unless you have the trans go high rev spring kit installed.
