Default cooler fittings

Just purchased a trans cooler for my 98 Vette, and plan to bypass the rad. and run it stand-alone. It has female 1/2" NPT fittings.
Question; does anyone know what fittings and line size I will need to fun it? I plan on running braided line from the most convienient point.
Thanks

3/8ths or 1/2 will do and I would use 1/2ntp pipe to flare fittings. are you using ferrules or getting the lines crimped at a hydraulic shop?

Not trying to be lazy, it's just that it would be SOOO much easier to pick this stuff up on the way home, instead of having to crawl under the car, take everything apart, then run 10 miles back to town
But if I have to, that's the cost of modding
Thanks guys

you can remote mount a trans cooler with a fan in the rear. not sure about where you could place one on a vette though.

but if your just trying to rig it off the stock lines....idk about the vette. you probably need barb end fittings and hose clamps.

I found these
http://www.purechoicemotorsports.com...rod/prd255.htm

If I use these on the cooler lines (won't be able to take a look until the weekend) and the NPT to 6n recommended in the link above, I might be getting closer
Don't want to do the rubber hose thing.

These are the fitting I need to convert to AN6.

They are located right at the flywheel (they are disconnected when you pull the trans) If I can get a couple of fittings to screw into the brass female connector and convert to AN6, I can pick up a couple of 5ft braided lines and I'm good to go

Those look like inverted flare fittings to me. You can buy something to go from inverted flare to AN from Summit, etc.
