4L60E (LS1) Super Street Fighter 3500 RPM Torque Converter a good daily driver stall

I have heard that the tci converters are repurposed cavalier converters with the ring gear welded on...it's not billet like yank and other higher end converters...just thought I'd post the info I have found, I wouldn't think the tci one would be bad if the Power levels are up there

I used to have a Vigilante 3200 in my 1996 LT1 .. with 3.73 gears, motor was pretty close to stock & it would 60' in 1.60 ....
I had a Dana 36 but it only lasted 4 months, & went to a Dana 44 with the same 3.73... I liked the way the Vigilante worked on my 96, now with my 05 I still have the stock converter because I'm hearing the rear is the weak spot.. So my 60' now is only 1.86 but my 05 with just a tune by Cartek and KOOKS headers has run 11.98 in very good air @ Englishtown NJ

The lockup clutch is weak. The efficiency peaks about
95% going by slip data but does so pretty high in RPM.
Cheap is the Streetfighter series' main virtue. Do not
expect it to be your last converter, they are not that
durable and damn sure don't like "funny" ATF like Trick
Shift.

In contrast the Yank SS3600 I have now is much tighter and as zillions of members here will say, perfect for a daily driver.
