I have a Tci 6X Paddle Shifted 6 speed looking for anyone with any exsperiance using this trans
how did it perform
what hp did you use it behind
any problems

its going behind a 427lsx Mast Black Lable 305 ls7 6 bolt heads F2 cog procharger
looking for 1000 1200 hp

yep... I use it...and I love it.

I dont use the paddle shifter, and I've heard from others that the paddle shifter isnt really all that good...

personally, I'd go with the TCI Outlaw shifter with the 2 buttons on the shifter handle...which is what I use...nobody has any issues with that.

i have had the trans for awile, you say there was some upgrades to make for that king of power

get the Billet input shaft, and Billet Clutch Hub.....
those are the 2 main failure points or a 4l80, and this is very much a well built 4l80 with some special modifications

I dont know if theres anything specific or different about the ones in the TCI 6x, but if you call TCI, they can tell you for sure, and they can sell you the parts just for the 6x

I'm sure any qualified transmission builder can probably install them, but I would bet it has to be installed by TCI to retain your warranty.
