1) I don't know. Have you read "The truth about STR" on the Precision Industries site?
2) On the street Kumho Ecsta MX 295/35/18, Strip ET Streets
3) Lots of spinning, little sideways then it usually catches.
4) Lots of spinning, until upshift into second, then it catches
4a) Launch at 2500, no spinning, bang 1.7 60 ft.

I dont have that converter anymore but when i did

str 2.5
Nitto DR 245/50/16
It would just light the tires up unless they were heated up
1.60-1.65 60 fts were the norm on 100% stock suspension.

trans is stock. 323 gears. i checked the fluid when it was hot, and the level showed that it was full when its warm. i have a hard time reading that dipstick. when its hot the fluid should be btween warm and hot right?

the fluid should read in the upper portion of the dipstick, when warm.

i'm not sure about how well a stock tranny holds up to a stall, i had mine built to handle the extra torque multiplication from the stall. i have 3.73's in my car, but i'd would think that the car could still fry the tires with a 3.23 gear too.

1)
From what I remember when I bought it used ... 2.17

2)
Kumho 712s (275/40/17) on the street
M/T ET streets (26x10.5x15) at the track

3)
... on street tires? About a 50 foot long patch of burnt rubber.
... at the track? Dunno, I don't launch from 20mph roll.

4)
... again on street tires? Alot of smoke from the Kumho, looks like a brush fire gone horribly wrong! Sometimes, it is so bad, I can loose control of the car if I do not get out of it (from the rear fishtailing so much).
... and at the track? My wife has cut a 1.68 60' and lifted the front end off the ground.
