Yank re stall

^^^ +1.
I would definitely only let Yank restall their converters as they contain custom parts.
I wish members would list their location; I can't imagine it's a security concern especially in reasonable sized cities. Plus we don't let people vent venom here which might attract a homicidal Mustang lover.
With location, I can often refer people to nearby sponsors, pro members and quality shops. It would also eliminate the "where are you located" posts.

So they told me my converter should work with my setup but i am not satisfied with that so beings i'm on a budget i found a local converter company that will cut/inspect/clean and re-stall it for 200-300 depending on what exactly needs to be done. As much as i want to buy a new converter i just can't afford it right now after putting a bunch of money into my trans to beef it up.

I talked to Dave @ Yank when I trashed my old trans and converter. Suggested I go from a SS3600 to a PAS3400, better suited to my ProCharger car and will couple faster and put more to the tires. They cut, cleaned, restalled it and sent it back for $350. I would only have Yank do a Yank converter just my $0.02
Also, if it's less than a year old they will do a restall for free.

You will be way better off letting Yank do the work. Seeing as it's their product in the first place they will be the most qualified to re-stall it. Dave is great and super helpful, I talked to him when I had my converter re-stalled a couple years ago. If whatever company you're thinking about screws up your converter it will end up costing more to have Yank fix it, if they want to touch it at all after a third party did work to it. Worst case scenario you get it back in after company X restalls it and it lets go and trashes your trans. Then you're REALLY screwed.

This isnt some **** company, all they do is converters, i think they probably know what they are doing. they had it done in 2 days...way better than sending it all the way across the country and waiting to get it back. Like i said before anyway yank didnt suit my needs when i asked to send my converter back to them to get re-stalled anyway, said aww the one you got should be good lol no it wasnt good

This is what would concern me. They PROBABLY know. I GUARANTEE Yank knows what they're doing. Even if they say it should work, if you tell them you want it restalled, they'll do it. It's a peace of mind thing, which is worth a lot to me. However, it isn't my converter, so my opinion doesn't really amount to squat in this situation.
