Will a Olds th400 fit a ls engine or is there a adapter to make work.I've heard bop th400 has different bolt pattern

 

BOP stands for Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac.
You can buy a chevy case for way cheaper than trying to adapt that to an LS engine. For that reason I'm sure no one has even bothered to make one.

The only other option is to cut it off and use an aftermarket bellhousing that attaches to the pump bolts.

 

i can get the trans for free,wanted a core to rebuild

 

Don't plan on bolting it to an ls engine.

You can build the BOP case and it may not be a bad idea if the core is a good one and its free... just know you'll have to cut the bell housing off and put Ultra-Bell on the unit to bolt to the LS engine. expect somewhere in the $300 range for the UB

 

this is what i was thinking,at the power im trying to make i would need a ultra bell for any trans 1000-1300 hp
