Default 4L60e problems after rebuild

ook ive got a 4L60e trans in my 2000 Z28 camaro and it was rebuilt about a year ago now and its sat in my parents garage now for about 4 or 5 months low funds or not really knowing what to do sense i just dropped a bunch of money into it that i had saved up for the longest time i bought a crate ls6 motor installed it had the rearend rebuilt and 3.73 gears put in it long tude headers insalled myself full 3 in exhaust a 3600 Circle D stall converter installed my self and finally had the trans rebuilt by a pretty well backed name in my area car ran great speacially after i had it dyno tuned it was running like i had always dreamed and trust me i have had the car going on 5 years now but then suddenly 6 months later im driving then i come to a stop sign and go to take off and suddenly coming out of 1st into 2nd heard a thud and from that point forward i couldnt get the trans to go into 3 or 4 atleast thats what i thought but later down the road made the decsion that it wasnt 1st that i was in it was 2nd and i would sometimes get it to shift into 3rd but never 4th but i will be doing this on my own so any thoghts on what i need t0 do cuz im honestly just lost at this point i have my car up have the trans drained and the pan and filter off

I'm not an expert but in the absence of one, I'll try to help. Who knows, maybe my bad advice will get an expert to come in and prove me wrong?

If you did a manual shift to first, would it engage, or would it stay in 2nd?

Are there any error codes?

Can you test your shift solenoids and see if they are good?

I want to help, I really do. However, I could not read through your post because it was one long sentence. Not trying to be a jerk, but it's hard to follow something like that. I'd figure several people came through, started reading and said wtf and then rolled out.

It sounds like maybe the input sprag has broken or some other hard part. Was the fluid brunt or any metal in the pan?

I'm closing this thread because frankly the first post is unreadable and I'm certainly not going to tolerate a brand new member start flaming here. Especially not Kfxguy, who while a relatively new member is a pro trans building and has been writing very articulate and helpful posts here.
