That won't be directly a bolt in. I think the drive shaft will need to be shortened and the cross member moved a little. There will also be some wiring changes and the PCM / TCM tune software will need to change.

I'll be using my 4L60E shaft, many people have used them. You just need to buy the proper input shaft, which I have. I have a full plug-n-play wiring harness from Frost and my tuner will do the 4L60E-to$L80E segment swap.

I'm just wondering what a good shop price is to do the swap.

What type of vehicle are all of you discussing?

Car or truck ?
Two wheel drive or four?

Price can vary greatly depending on the vehicle and fabrication work...

I am waiting to hear if you can segment swap a 98 .
I was told it can’t be done without swapping to the 99-02 “411pcm , and repin the harness “
I have a 98 Z28 with a 4L80E that has the Rossler lock box and it’s manually shifted /manual convertor lock up.
I would love to have it work like the original 4L60E did .

Yes....the 98 PCM can absolutely do a 4L60E-to-4L80E segment swap.

Send it to Frost, he charges $25.00 and it takes one day to complete and ship it back to you. Or, just have any novice tuner do it. Everyone local to me does segment swaps.
