Is my powerglide shot
I pulled the pan and found some metal so I started to dig deeper, pulled the pump and found a chip on the case on the servo side. This is my first automatic I've only dealt with manuals before this. So my question is, is it worth rebuilding/repairing?
That wouldn't scare me a bit
on a side note...if you're trying to make some serious power...I know aftermarket cases are expensive...but at least look into them...if you don't want to swing the budget, then get a shield at the minimum. That 60 year old case was designed for about 2000 rpm from about 100 hp...not 8000 rpm from 1000 hp...your safety should be taken into account on this one

However; just as Maroon Monster said... The aftermarket case is a far better route to go down, if you are going to invest any money into a Powerglide.
