Default 4l60e won't shift to 4th gear

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my 4l60e tranny in my 96 Chevy Tahoe 5.7L Vortec.

My trans won't shift to 4th gear. When I put shifter into overdrive position and start acceleration trans normaly shifts through 1-2-3 gears. After that RPM goes to 3000 - 3100 but car won't accelerate no more and I get 62 mph and 3000 - 3100 rpm.

In shown in this video.

In good case when all work fineI have 80 mph at 2500 rpm.

After diagnostic I replaced TPS sensor and brake switch, but problem won't go away.

What could be the problem ?

I am just stating this bases on your instrumental panel cluster information...

The vehicle is going about 100 mph - 120 mph around 3,000 rpm.
Even if the speedometer is wrong and the vehicle is moving closer to 80 mph - 90 mph... the transmission should still be in 4th gear.

Does the vehicle have low ratio ring and pinion sets? Something near 2.73:1 or 3.08:1 ??? Or maybe have really tall tires?
This would be the only I could see the vehicle going that fast at about 3,000 rpm in 3rd gear.

The vehicle must be in 4th gear... Most likely what you are missing is the feeling of the torque converter locking up.
Many people who do not know any better describe that feeling as another gear change/ up-shift.

My guess is that you have a torque converter that is not locking up properly.

Sorry, I forgot to say that my dash in kilometers per hour. My vehicle have stock ratio ring and pinion sets.

How I can check lock up of TCC ? What sensors affects TCC lock up ?

After diagnostic I replaced TPS sensor and brake switch (because of brake switch open circuit code) . This replacements doesn't solve the issue.

The fact is that the problem doesn't always arise. I can drive normally for 200 - 300 miles, but at some point in time this happens.

To check TCC commanded status, you need to use an OBD2 scanner

Have you ever noticed trans temps when this happens?

No, my ELM 327 + IOS CarScanner App can’t read anything about transmission. I will try another Android apps like a torque pro, motor data and write a result at this weekend.
