Glide / converter issues flash speeds
after speaking to a local converter shop , same place that built my current converter. This guy seems to think straight from
(from idle stomping on the accelerator , flashes to 2800, then as boost ramps in flashes to 6000 and starts coupling from there , drops down to around 5850 on the shift.)
that the fluid is too slow to return to the transmission from the converter , and that if it only flashes to 2800 even with 18# boost it shouldnt then flash up that much higher.??
ill have to speak to a trans shop next ? ive logged converter charge pressure at the coolant lines and get 80 -90psi at any rpm other than idle

we didnt really get into whether tightening or lossening the converter , more when i told him the 2 flash speeds he thought the trans was the problem

Haven't checked line pressure yet, after speaking to a trans shop today though, they said Definitely the converter at fault wouldn't be a trans issue
My mates setup flashes off idle to 3000 then starts locking up at around 4000 with boost?
I'm asking coz mine flashes much higher than off boost flash. And then won't get good couplijg until 7500

Ill get a data log later today, basically shows straight up to 2800 then rpm curves in same as boost 1 second upto 17psi and 6000rpm. Then take another 2.5seconds to 7200 and shift point.
2nd gear I only get out to 6200 on these runs.
any merit to this ?
