I am hoping that some of you here that are Builders and DIY Builders can give me opinions on my new Internal and External Transmission Connectors.
My concern... is that the Products that I have put together, do not match the OEM appearance.
Some people are turned-off if a part does not look identical to the original part.
I do not wish to create any doubts in a Transmission Rebuild...
Especially for the guys here that work in this Business.
It is obviously very important that your Customers completely TRUST in the Products that you offer.
I am not ready to Post images of what the Internal Harness looks like...
It looks nothing like the OEM version.
However, I am posting what the Pass-Through Connector and External Connector look like.
Every Component is made by Delphi...
But I am using the "Humvee Spec" Parts (they are supposed to be more durable, heat resistant, and better sealing).
It is not visible... but the O-Ring on the Pass-Through Connector is Black PTFE coated Viton-Rubber; instead of the normal Green O-Ring.
Thanks everyone!
So what's the issue? That it's black instead of grey? It looks just fine to me. I say send it; Delphi/ GM/ AM General already approved it for H1 Hummers, so I'm sure it'll be just fine in your average F-Body or Silverado.
Just make the damn wiring harness so I can buy one, already!
Hell, I'll be a guinea pig for it!

The "Test-Version" that I have put out there, has had a 100% feed-back/ response stating that the Instructions are too difficult to understand.
I have to re-write the Instructions and send out some more test Harnesses.
The Harness is One Design that will fit every year and version of the 4L60E Family.
The Harness is a "Main-Trunk", that comes with different "Wiring-Branches" that get attached to fit the different Electrical Components.
There is a very small sealed Connector at each end of the "Main-Trunk" to connect the "Wiring-Branch" that connects to your Electrical Components.
It is not complex at all... I even made the Connections "Idiot-Proof"... they ONLY go together one-way.
You've asked for opinions, and I'll give my honest one.
I don't see myself ever buying this.
My builds get pretty standard replacement internal harnesses on every build.
Rostra is a common manufacture in the aftermarket OEM replacement
I've seen a unit hot enough to melt thrust washers...and the harness was ok
maybe a bit charred...but not ruined
guess what...still got replaced. If a unit is that far F**ked...it's getting a $25 harness. I'm not gonna waste my time dealing with that junk and hoping I can save it or itll be ok etc.
The current stuff on the market works ok for me, is readily available, and is inexpensive enough. So, I'll just stick with what I'm getting
Sorry to be debbie downer...just sharing my honest input.
I also don't need "idiot proof" or "one year fits all" so those aren't big selling points for me...where they may be for others.
