4l80e stock converter in Z28?
Ok what i am asking will a 4l80e with the stock truck converter fit in my Z. Or will i have to get a spacer? Beucse the 6.0 crank is longer correct? Or will a new flywhell fix this?

I thought the 6L had the same crank and same stroke, but the only difference was a bigger bore and different heads and cam specs.
Double check with the other guys though because I'm for the most part ignorant to this.

It can and has been installed in Fbodys. Well worth the hassle since you won't be poping built 60's left and right. You'd need a new cross member and a 4L60 to 4L80 harness adaptor, and I think some sort of spacer for the converter. However I wouldnt no bolt it up to a stock converter. Vig makes good 4L80 converters. If you do a search some good information should pop up.

Well i was hopeing tp just put the tranny in with that converter for a little while to see how everthing goes. Adn then i ordered a Transgo shift get. To go with it so that i dont have to do any of the wireing part off it. And i will just hook up the Lock up to a switch. But the wear thing is when i called www.transmissioncenter.net/ 4L80E.htm about it they said there was no way to get the lock up to work with a manuel valve body.
