Default Who built your 4L60E???

Can you guys tell me the shop that built your tranny and how much just to do the rebuild and how much power you running through it. I need to get this tranny done soon, cant see spending $1700 with a local guy, i know this can be done cheaper and still hold up to my abuse.

FLP, I don't remember the price but it was not that bad.
Handeled probably 100 Mid-High 10 sec passes so far.
The manual valve body is a blast also.

I bought mine frome fbodytrans. It's a stage 2 4L60E. I run a YPT4000 and alot of bolt-ons. Not sure of the power I'm making, but I'm pretty rough on it and it's my daily driver. I think it cost like 1800 and my tranny for core. Hope this helps.

I can get mine built right now from SRA Transmissions in Portmouth,RI for $1700 , his trannies have gone low 10's. Just think theres way too much mark up on labor. Seems like everyones price is average except for Camaro Cain you husband wanna make a few bucks

I just need to drop this dam tranny off and cry when i write the check then smile after Slowhawk gets done with it

Mine is a Stage4 from Rock-On Transmissions in TX - cost $1800 when I purchased, but I think their prices have gone up slightly.

My T/A is putting down 426rwhp/418rwtq - so tranny is seeing approx. 15% more than that.

Excellent performance out of this tranny - and their customer service is next to none!

WOW !!!!!!!

You guys are paying some crazy amounts.

Now I do agree that there is big mark-up on labor from speed shops and other manufactures but to be fair , If you know that the trans you are building is going To "have the mo-jo" put to it you are going to pull all the stops out and update/upgrade all the weak parts( ie 4 pinion to 5 pinion beast sunshell etc.) I have burned up a entire morning assembling the input housing for a 4L65-E that was used in a C-5 and getting all the clutches right and tight.

If you know where to get the good stuff with out paying the good stuff price you total cost ( assuming you take it somewhere and have it done) really should not be much more for a transmission that can handel 650 RWHP or a stocker. I just finished putting one together for a 02 ws6 and with all the upgrades & a 28,000 GVW trans oil cooler INSTALLED was 1800.00. Now I do transmission work on a daily basis and after the first 100 or so it becomes drill and the time normally drops, but if you get one really munched it does take more time to fix up. Over all speed in not what you want, quality is what you want ,and it is up to the person with the burned up trans to deside how much is the quality going to run him.
