So... you're saying the bolt pattern allows the Quicksilver to bolt right in to our late-model F-Bodies? It just needs top-end modification?

I assumed you "photoshopped" the Mustang shifter

into a Trans Am console to get that look. I just thought it was a good concept.

Or this Universal "hammer" shifter:

thats my best guess, ....... although that portion from their site could of used some better grammar to where it wouldnt confuse the heck out of me while reading it!

"with used with custom installation where an aftermarket controller is used to command the transmission."

my best guess it will work you just have to customize the housing for it to fit into our consoles.

*shrug* Get a M6 console top and a B&M Hammer, hard to get any more stock looking then this. I say it took about 45 minutes to install and I had to make a plate to cover the giant hole in the floor from the M6.

Wait... you installed into an existing M6 setup. Do you know that the mounting will be the same for an existing A4 setup?

Currently our shifters are too tall for use under the stock A4 console, you can use a manual console with a boot to hide the mechanism. The problem with our shifter mount is that the mount holes are staggered and will not bolt up directly to the OE shifter mount holes. I am trying to push to change this, but we are trying to get some other high priority projects out first. Keep the interest coming though, as I will show the interest to our marketing office.

Yes, the floor isnt that much different between A4/M6, M6 has a giant hole and A4 doesnt. The A4 cars have a bracket for the stock shifter that may or may not have to be cut off. Several others have used the same shifter the same way as I have with A4s, just have to get a M6 console top w/boot. It would be nice to have a bolt on one though but the console top ould be the problem.

Previous owner molded the upper console with bondo on the a4 console in the car I have now, turned out pretty nice also.. Its a B&M pro ratchet.

My question, though, kp, is how you bolt it to the floor. It doesn't mate to the existing pattern. Did you drill-to-fit sheet metal screws, drill and install bolts from bottom or top, have to make a custom bracket, etc, etc?
