If u go with B&M they have 2 different settings one bumps line pressure and u get a frimer shift but if u go with the second one u get full manual control. Same with Transgo they have 3 setttings if u put on the 3rd one u get full manual control.

www.jegs.com has both kits but im sure that some of the sponsors like www.thunderacing.com does too.

i don't believe anyone makes a kit at all to make the 4L60E a full manual valve body. manually shifting a stock one can be done. that doesn't make it a full manual. if you program the thing right the first time you won't have to go back in and fix the shift points. the 60E has shown more cases of failure on vehicles that are manually shifted. just make it shift itself like it's meant to.

Kits like this will allow for instant shifts so that u can hold the shifter and shift when ever u want yet u will retain regular use when u use D. Now that not "full" manual but its gonna help with what u have a problem with. This way the car shifts right when u want it to and u dont have to wait on the pcm to tell it to.

the problum with shifting it yourself with the stock trans, is the delay there is a huge delay before it shifts and if you shift where you want it too then your going to bang the limiter... thats why I said screw it and let the trany do the work... you could try shifting at like 5000rpm's then by the time it go's in gear you may be around 6000

Witha shift kit that lets u go full manual u wont hit the rev limiter because u get an instant shift. So if u want to shift at 6100 rpm and ur rev limiter is at 6200 then u wont hit cause as soon as u move the shifter the tranny will shift.
If u wanna shift it stock and not hit the rev limiter u shift from 1-2 at 5000rpm and from 2-3 at 4500rpms, this will let the car rev up to about 6000-6100 rpms and shift just before the limiter unless ur limiter is moved from 6200 or ur tranny is slipping u wont hit it.

I didn't say it would but what i am saying is that u wont hit it because the car will shift as soon as u want it too. The problem is the lag with a stock tranny where the car stays in geara even after u shift some times it carries to far and hits the rev limiter. With the full manual u can shift just before and not worry about the tranny carrying the gear to far.

even with a stock trans they don't hang. if it has a delay in the shift it's simply because the trans is stock. who would drive something with power and no shift kit/servo change. it's certainly not worth all that effort to shift it when you can just program the computer to shift it where you want it you have to move the rev limiter to shift it past stock anyway. if you're moving the rev limiter, change the shift points while you're in there. for any reason though a real shift kit and servo change is in order.

exactly, i want control of my shifts and as i understand by the products u have recomended they will let me do that. these kits are not letting the computer control your shifts and thats what i want. and i havent met many people that have higher stall converters that dont have to mess with their shift points regardless if they have shift kits or not
