Problems with new Torque Converter
Make sure your coolant is right, that the tranny cooler lines aren't pinched and find out what the SES light is. Anybody near you with ATAP
?
I wouldn't beat on it untill you figure out the problem. You should have no problem breaking the tires loose when you launch hard with that converter.

You need either an AutoTap or need to pull the PCM Bat & PCM Ign fuses to clear the SES light. Also, try keeping the tranny in "D" instead of "OD" when driving under 50 MPH.
My Yank TP4400 was installed yesterday. The guy didn't install the cooler becuase there wasn't enough time (long story). So that same day, as I was driving it home, I decided to punch it off the line, and I felt just a LITTLE difference I was expecting it to pull a lot harder than that So, I tried it a few more times and to my disappointment, I had the same result. Well, today I took it out for another spin. I drove to a deserted area, which took me awhile to get there. On the third run was when my problem started. I floored it and my car took off VERY SLOWLY I tried it again with the same result. Is it because I had no cooler? Did my tranny get too hot I need help guys! My SES lights also come on and my car still lurches forward a bit when I take my foot off the brake...I thought it's supposed to stay still? I really need help fellas, thanks in advance.

Dont know if this helps you but when I had my old vig 2500 I couldnt launch over 1500 or the computer would read it as a slip I am guessing and so I got my computer reprogrammed. Not to say you will need to but it does take time for the computer to adjust to anything new on the car.Give it time bro.
