Default Compare Yank And PI Customer Service

Anyone have any personal experiences or things to say positive or negative. Dont want to start flame war just honest personal experiences. I ordered a Yank TP4400 on the Sept GP but have been reading a lot of horror stories about yank problems and their lack of customer service. Did do my research before I bought the converter.....but all these new threads appeared as if from no where. I can still change that order....considering they havent even shipped yet
Thanks

I'll comment on my positive experiences. I'm on my 5th Vig converter, and the longest I ever remember waiting to get one was 5 days. I sent two of the converters back to be re-stalled, and I contacted Jack or Terry ahead of time. They gave me a return code to write on the box, and they said that they would get it done ASAP once they received it. Both times they had the re-stall completed and the converter shipped back out the NEXT day! I've called both Jack and Terry at P.I. to discuss different converters, which one would be best for my T/A at that time, and they took the time to help me make the best decision. When my third 4L60E took a dump, I sent the converter back to them to get checked out to make sure that the converter was not damaged. It was in great shape, and they just applied my free stall change to the converter. It was no charge! There's honestly never been a time that I've been displeased with the customer service at P.I., and this is over a period of 26 months.

I've had ALOT of Yank converters and one thing I can honestly say (and I only say what I can honestly) is that I don't believe anyone builds a better converter than Yank. I am sold on their track performance %100. I don't think I would be in the 9s right now without my Yank converter.

Customer service? Mike has always treated me well and has taken up alot of time on the phone with me not only making sure I get exactly the converter than I need, but also teaching me about converters in the process. Sure, sometimes he's a little hard to get ahold to but he's a pretty busy person as you can imagine. And sure, sometimes it takes awhile to get your converter but there is a damn good reason for that...they are THE BEST and anything that is the best is going to have a waiting line. Ahh, patience is a virtue!

Trevor D., for Doelling? Forum Director? Good grief, what a world.

I agree with both Trevor and Colonel. I've had the pleasure of speaking with both Terry and Mike, and they were both more than willing to discuss my concerns and questions. To tell ya the truth, that Terry'll talk your ear off! I've had the same Vigilante for almost four years now without the slightest hickup. Started it's life as a 2600, reworked to 3K, in-n-out of two transmissions 2 or three times with no problems whatsoever! Damn good investment.
