Default built trans w/ 4K stall shifts soft??

I just got my car back from the tranny shop, they rebuilt my trans with the pro-built 650hp kit and installed my 4K stall, it shifts just like it did when i had my stock tranny w/ a 3500 stall and 96% line pressure??

why is that??? had the tranny built so I can keep my line pressure stock???

help please

HPT....

the kit has a vac. modulator.... I was thinking that was causing the soft shifts? btw, the line pressure is still at 96, because of the feel???

Have you called Dana at Pro-built and talked to him about it?

You have increaed the stall RPM, have you also raised the part throttle shift points to match? If you upshift under the stall RPM you will get soggy crap shifts. Stock shift points are totally useless, more so for a stalled A4.

part throttle shifts are always going to be soft with a high stall converter. you don't even feel my car shift at light throttle. you only hear the rpm's drop. full throttle is a different story though.

yeah, we didnt bring the laptop with HPT on it with to get the car back. after reading, found that with a vac. modulator, if the line pressure is over 95, it bleeds the pressure into the lines, causing very weak shifts. so, got the HPT out, and set back to stock, and WOW!!! nice now!!! thanks all

I owe you all a beer
