Since I'm running a PT4000 with a stock motor with just a few bolt-ons with success, I'd say a PT4400 would be great with a T-Rex. It's just going to be loose for driving around town but with a T-Rex you don't really care about that now do you? If you're thinking about spraying it either now or down the road, a 4400 is going to be too loose for you.

Ide say a 4400 is the minimum for a T rex.

+1..

if you're looking to get the most out of a t-rex, get AT LEAST a 4400 stall.

4.10's out back will keep it from feeling too loose.

once you get above 4,000 stall they all drive the same. i bet if you just drove my 5100 stall around you would think it was a 4,000 or so. untill you floor it

Just fine. it really isn't as bad as people think. i bet just driving around town you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a 4,000 stall to a 5k+ stall untill you stomp on it.

So what would be the downside to having a stall that big on a DD car?

Gas mileage in town. In town the speed limit is 35-40 mph here. My converter doesn't lock up until 50 mph so I get about 10 mpg with my 4.30's and T-Rex cam. Out on the highway when the converter locks I get 20-21 mpg.

Yeah i don't do much in town driving. i do about 95% highway and get about 20 mpg with NO overdrive on the highway. 4.10 gears/th350/31" street tires.

You probably turn about the same rpm as I do on the hwy with those 31's and 4.10's.

I have OD, 4.30's, and 28's
