Absolutely not! Although modifying/tuning your shift pressure tables and shift point tables would make it a more pleasurable experience (converter or not).

Nope! The converter doesn't affect your shift points enough to warrant a "tune". If it does, then the converter has to much slip. The ECM uses MPH to shift during part throttle, and it uses RPM and MPH during WOT. As I said, it is not required, but you can definately benefit from it. I used to drive a Vig3200 (4000 actual stall) daily and I never had it tuned.

I have read more then one member say that after installing a 3500 stall that they have hit the rev limiter. But I have also read other member's that said they have had no problems whatsoever.
I have a fuddle 3000 and it runs awesome and i have never had a tune.
I would say install it and see how it does. If you don't hit the rev limiter and if torque management isn't an issue you should be fine.

exactly the right answer, mine didn't need tuning either but i had the shift points bumped up a little when i had the pulley put on...i didn't wanna mess with that pulley when someone put it on for 50bucks

Did the pulley mess up your shift points?
Don't see how, unless maybe it messed up your ecm because your engine would rev quicker.
But that doesn't make sense either.
