Fuddle 3600 2.2 STR People
My 3600 2.2 str stall should be here in a few days. A few questions: What kind of track times should I see? Is my car going to be useless on street tires? Is the difference going to be that noticeable?

At first i really liked the convertor, but now i am really starting to question my decision. Not knocking Fuddle, as i may just have a bad one, but my car made 375 rwhp, which is way more than some friends who have dynoed in the 330-340 range. But my 1/4 times and trap speeds are really below what they should be and after talking to numerous shops and such, im really starting to think its my convertor falling off up top....not engaging fully at around 3600.....kinda slipping all the way. Friends bolt-on only car with 330 ran 12.09 @ 113 i ran 12.50's at only 109.

Have you heard bad things about TCI? Yank? PI? I have. But I dont go spreading bullshit like you...
Usually, its not the equipment, rather the setup that lets people down at the track.

Just to get back a little on topic after some E-thugging I dropped about half a second. I have a 3500 2.2 so there cant be much difference in a 100 rpm. I'm still running street tires and yes, they are pretty much useless. They're 315/35 Bfg Kd's. My 60's were horrible, 2.2 to2.7's. I need the !driver mod as well. I would recommend a stickier tire. Or you could have gotten like a 1.7-1.8 str but it would feel loose on the street.

Hearing bad things is not spreading bullshyt if I dont share what I heard. So next time you come around here trying to be Captain save a sponsor at least read all the facts first.
You dont think saying "been hearing bad things" is derogatory? How about YOU find out the facts first. Clearly you dont like Fuddle, why? You dont own one, never have. You, like a lot of people, base their opinions on what they "hear" from the internet. Same goes for other manufacturers reputations like DART, Yank, TCI etc..
It annoys me to see when a mod doesnt work for someone they immediately blame the manufacturer. It annoys me when people break things they blame the manufacturer and post it here to blackmail businessess into warrantly replacements. No disrespect intended to kazfan30 as I know thats not what he is intending.
By all means, say what you like. In so doing, be prepared to get bit if others don't agree with you.

Edit:
Sorry if I'm coming off the wrong way. Point is I understand what youre saying and in the end I'm sure Fuddle will come through.

Dont blame me for you turning against Fuddle as a result of this thread. Thats your choice. You clearly state you had time commitments and from your first post it was clear which way you were NOT going.
I also have not singled you out - check the thread for late delivery timeframes - I aint tip-toeing around anyone. I am in PMs with quite a few members about this issue. I, like you have just stated, would like to see the current "issues" resolved too.
Yes, I have bought from Fuddle and continue to do so since they are getting great track and road feedback here in OZ. However, I am in no way associated with Fuddle apart from being a user if their converters, and periodically bringing a few into the country for a few others on request.
Until otherwise proven wrong (and I am not too proud to be proven wrong) I will continue to offer my perspective as you do yours. I am not telling you what to say, rather, responding to what you have said.
Good luck with your converter choice and I sincerely hope it works out for you. I am sure this will all wash out in the end.

I cannot get a hold of Fuddle. How long did it take to get your converter. I ordered one and was told to expect it this week, and shipping info from Fed-EX but i have not received either.

We put a 3700 2.2str fuddle in the trans am. the car went from 2.0 sixty ft on mickey thompson et drags to a 1.59 sixty ft on the same tire leaving the line at 3000 rpms and that was with the car being lowered 1.5 inches and pulling the tires about 3 inches. all together it knocked off 8 tenths in the quarter. we love our fuddle and wouldnt buy another converter from anybody else. its the best bang for the buck.

My 3600 2.2 acts like a 4k-4.2k.
I did have some issues where they sent me an LT1 converter first (found out when trying to install it).
My Gs-D3s are worthless with it, 1st and part of 2nd are foggettaboutit. And that's with a 2.73 rear. Hopefully I'll move to DRs soon.
Also my mpg took a gruesome dump aswell.

I got my fuddle converter yesterday and it was shipped last week. TC is being installed tomorrow if all goes well, I will let you know how I like it. I am a bit worried about how it will drive around town but was told that I could get a restall if it bothered me too much.

I read your linked thread and I would have to say that would make me sick. I am sorry, dude. 7 weeks is not acceptable and you have ever right. Any respectable business would have stated out of stock and took the order later. I tried to look him up on the BBB and HE DOESN'T EXIST!! I tried to look him up on the whitepages. DOESN't EXIST. There is no address on his website either.
This Fuddle guy is VERY suspicious. He answers the phone for some people, not others. Orders from later dates delivered before orders 7 weeks ago. Then, he doesn't even give you the tracking number from the mysterious disappearing converter!
Then, have you noticed he hardly ever responds to threads? When he does it sounds like total BS.
It seems like yea maybe he is cheaper but it is like a casino! You might end up with nothing when it is all said and done!
