Is Fuddle Really That Bad?
Any chance you could elaborate a bit?
1. Dont bash on Fuddle, or any other sponsor here. Bashing is not a good thing and as stated there is most likely more going on then what those outside that particular transaction know about.
2. Dont rely on other ppl to feed you what to buy. Buy from someone you feel comfortable with, customer service support before/during/after purchase makes a big difference to me.
3. What works in my car may not work well in yours.
Now, Honda Hunter made some good points that all too often someone has a bad experience, for whatever reason and you will either have those siding with buyer, or those with seller. Too often, there are ppl siding that really shouldn't, either never dealt with said shop, or just have that all knowing type of personality. Qwiktim did get his converter that he ordered, and changed, although a few weeks later than expected. Not sure what the new owner has to say about it, if its installed or not. 2002_Z28_Six_Speed also has a point, dont bash Fuddle on here (the rest of his post is pretty much inflammatory bullshit until he steps up and says what he "knows". The rules on the forum are simple, if you have a problem, work it through the sponsor first, then when that fails post up your issue in the appropriate forum, this would be the sponsor feedback, not specific topic. That is not just for Fuddle, but for any sponsor. The rules protect you and the sponsor. I am sure several bandwagoners would not like it for a sponsor to come in here (or any forum) and discredit their all knowingness. I've seen it before and it got ugly quick, but ironically the bandwagoner was proved wrong in public.
A good tip with that is to click on the SN, look up replies they put about certain products, e.g. 2002_Z28_Six.....tends to bash Fuddle, and promote Vig or Yank. Kind of shys away from TCI. That tells me since he never ordered from Fuddle, he may have some kind of agenda! He also claims he knows WTF is going on inside Fuddle, but when asked, he doesnt say anything, why not if you KNOW it, post it? The worst information is that held close confidence to you only, leaves others out in the dark.
My experience with Fuddle has been good on all three transactions. I did bake on TC Clutch, sent it back and was upgraded. FWIW we thought we'd bake the TCC but wanted to see if we were right or not, no questions warranty worked. There were questions though, like how much power the car made, how/when we locked the TCC up in the Street Performance TC etc.. more so for Johns information on how things were holding up.
My experience with Yank the first time was good as well. TC worked great, even though it came from a shop local and was sold as new, but in fact was rebuilt. Second experience with Yank pretty much made my mind up until Management changes I will never talk with them again about purchases.
Although I never used them, I installed several TCI's, most all 3500 and they are an excellent working TC. Warranty kind of sucked and CS was not so great, but 4 out of 5 products needed no attention once installed.
Currently running an ATI TC, though not a sponsor, I would not recommend them to anyone. Their terrible CS is not worth the premium cost.

Yet another unhappy X-customer...................... the "minority" as some called me when I posted my complaints, is quickly growing in size.

With all due respect......
This is exactly why we don't have paid sponsors on our site. If a company does you wrong....let people know about it. Hiding behind the "sponsor protection" is BS. It's up to the company to keep it's customers happy. If they can't do that then....deal with the negative publicity. I understand that you can't please everyone but the negative should be heard along with the positive.
I'm kinda lost here. You can't feel comfortable with how they treat you if you haven't bought from them yet. Almost every company will treat you right until they receive your money. Then, who knows? That's where a big forum like this comes in handy. You read about customer service, product reliability, performance etc....and can form a pretty good idea about what you will get.
From what I've seen Fuddle has put out some pretty good converters. I have a couple of friends that have had good results. After reading the reviews here....there are more good than bad and I would consider buying one if mine goes south. It looks to me like John will take care of ya if you have problems. If he doesn't...you can bet I'll post up about it.

A bit off topic isn't it? Stay on topic or post your own thread.
