Vig3600 to much stall!?
I just called Precision Industries about getting my 2800 restalled to a 3600. They said that there is no need to go that high unless I have heads/cam. They told me to send it in and they would raise the stall 400-500 more rpm, basically to the 3200. I don't think I would see enough gain to make it worth a change that small. Should I just keep my 2800 or what? Truthfully I wanted to buy the Yank TP4400. I can live with a loss in streetability for killer race combo.

i dont see where its to high at all... i mean look at the guys with the YTP4400 stall and there NA times!!!
The way your running with that 2800, i would love to see your 3600 times to see how big of a drop it makes!
i just need et streets, cause this sucker has alot more off the line i beleive <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
if you want the 4400 but wanna save a few bucks get the vig.. its probably the closest thing to it for a cheaper price! Plus it's KICK A@@!
Ive had the 3600 for 1-2 years and no probs yet, getting faster each season also <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

When he sends his vig2800 in to get it changed to the vig3600, does he get the same STR number as the vig3600 if you bought that first or does he have to keep the STR number of the vig2800?

Most converters.. the STR is proportional higher with a higher stall speed.
The Vig 3600 will be nearly as loose as a TP-4400.. but will not hit the tires as hard.

Wilwaxu is correct. If you keep the stator constant (as PI does in a restall), the increase in stall speed will increase the STR and lower the efficeny.

I have not seen any numbers for PI. What's the difference between pumps? What STR do they have? Can I get a certain stall with whatever pump I want and various STRs? It seems like people only specify the stall then ordering vigilantees.
What are PI converters comparable to? Super Thrusters or Pro Thrusters?
And lastly, what is the difference between multi-disk PI converter and a regular one? Are all the multi-disk ones the same or are there different number of disks?
