Default Where should I shift?

Ok i have an A4, full exhaust, full induction TA, im putting 3.73s in next week. What rpm should I be shifting to get the most out of the car? Ive read some people on here really stretch them out but i dont know if thats dangerous and/or beneficial really. What you think??

You want to shift where acceleration in gear is
falling below acceleration-in-next. Which is way
far out there. I took some accelerometer data
with <6000RPM shiftpoints and next-gear true
acceleration was always well less than present
gear. If you can log acceleration somehow then
the crossover points are your ideal shiftpoints.
Presuming you have injector size and valvespring
to keep up.

I wish. A Lid, KN, Ported TB, LS6 intake, Long Tubes, ORY, Magnaflow Catback, 3.73s in an A4. Just wondering about where I should be letting this thing shift out to get the max out of the car safely.

Are you going to be changing shift points with tuning?
Best thing to do with an A4 is to let it shift itself.

I wont be doing any tuning for a couple months till i get my cam. Then i will be changing alot with the tune. But you know how autos are sometimes if you punch it and your 1mph over where it wants to shift itll go into the next gear which is kinda useless LOL I rarely drive the car real hard but occasionally when i do i physically shift it about 500rpm short of where i want it to shift (say 6k) and it takes that long for it to do it so it works out LOL. I just didnt know how high i could spin this motor effectively/safely. Like the Mustang is high compression H/C/I/full bolt/full exhaust, its breaths and creates power well above 6k but i dont know about this car.
