I picked up over 2 tenths and 2 mph by switching from a 3800vig to my tci4400, and the tci feels a lot tighter on the street. I've had good luck with my tci so far, but I've only put like 3000 miles on it. If I had to choose between vig and yank I would go with yank. Good luck!

I've had a vig 3600 and a yank SS4000 in my Camaro. The vig feels like stock until you get on the throttle. It takes more rpm to get the car moving with the yank, especially on a hill. The yank hits harder and has a higher shift extension. When it shifts it only drops to about 5200. The vig would drop to 4800 or so on shifts. I don't mind a loose converter on my street cars, but some people hate it. If you're one of those people who demands stock-ish drivability, stick with a lower stall vig. I care more about performance than street manners and the yank really performs well for me.

I have a Vigilante 3 disc 3600 rpm converter in stock for a 4L60E, regular price is 979.99, I'll sell it for $900.00. It is new in the box. Bob

i have a vig. 3800 stall in my A4 it is daily driven and took a lil bit of time to get used to but after a couple of days you dont even notice it. also Vig converters stall a lil higher than the selected stall speed, thats why a 3600 from them feels like a 4000 from yank. either way calling either company will help you get what you need. both brands are great to go with.

IMO, and after alot of research on both sides, I chose the Yank SS3600. The reason I did so was because the Yank would mph better than the Vig (2-3mph)...both converters being equal. Conversely, the Vig hit a little harder on the bottom. Because my 4L60E is stock, I went with the Yank to minimize the hard hit at launch. I know guys that run both converters though and I don't believe you can make a bad choice with either one.
