I need an SFI approved flexplate

For my 2002 Z28.

I ordered one from Checker, it was for an LT1 so my car is still down. I have looked online and I see a TCI one for 200 bucks. But the picture does not look like it will work. Anyone know or have experience? Point me to where I can get one.

This is the only thing holding me back from getting my car running again.

Try a search. Too many issues with the TCI it seems, i'd look elsewhere. I'd like to know also.

TCI worked fine for me. Do a google search as well. I think there are 2-3 more out there thats SFI approved. Mezeire makes probably the best one but it's like $400.

Yeah but the 4L60E flexplate is what people have problems with. Looks like you have a TH400?

A lot of companies make flexplates specifically for the LS1 and the 4L60E. Some are ATI Performance (not ATI ProCharger), Meziere ... to name a few.

It's the same flexplate! I have a newer one I guess. The problems I have heard in the past is the paint wears off under the bolt heads and the bolts came loose, mine has a different coating than the older ones plus I use Lok-tite. The other issue was the bolt holes were bigger than the bolt. that may still be an issue but the pilot keeps it centered. My TC came with 7/16-20 bolt holes so that fortunately worked out for me.

There are other SFI approved plates out there. I know I found at least 3 more when I was searching.
