Yank SS4000 installed!! Just swapped out my ST3500 2.5 STR to a SS4000 2.6 STR and I am in love! It actually drives pretty similar to the 3500 until you go WOT. It'll move at 1500 but takes about 2500 to stay with traffic. Shift extension is ~5100. It pulls hard from a stop all the way to 130 (didn't get a chance to go past that and didn't really want to). Highway runs are a beautiful thing. Once again, I am extremely pleased with my second Yank converter. I was looking into the SS3600 but am very happy that I stepped up to the 4000. Go big or go home

This converter is super tight in town....I was really surprised. It drives almost exactly like my ST3500 in town. WOT is a whole new ballgame. On street tires, it spun them through 3rd gear like it was nothing. At 75 MPH, it flashes to about 4500 and pulls from there. Slowed down to ~45 and nailed it and it was at the top of 2nd almost immediately and catching 3rd. I love seeing that tach needle stay over 5K RPM's. It pulls substantially harder than my ST3500 did up top, and it was no slouch. I can't speak about the SS3600 since I've never had one, but I would HIGHLY recommend the SS4000 to anyone. It is not anywhere close to too much for the street.
