EDGE Racing Converters?
So I'm about ready to buy a stall and just deciding what I want. It's been a couple of months w/ two emails to EDGE and two phone calls and I can't talk to anyone that can tell me what the lead time is on their custom street edge converters. I would like a general idea as to how long it's going to take to get, but I can't get that. Is this how there customer service is? I really wanted an EDGE street edge 3400-3600 w/ 2.45 STR, but the way this is going I might just have to pay a little extra to PI 'cause at least they answer my questions.
cliff notes:
Q: Is Edge Racing Converter's customer service always bad?

I am a distributor for Edge torque converters, and the lead time is about 3-4 days. I have not had any problems with them over the last 3 years. Let me know if I can be of any help here.

From what I have read edge seems to have a good converter I haven't read about many failures in the many forums I spend time in , There customer service well its ok I think they depend more of there distributors for that.
Of interest our converters also have a great rep and we have customer support and a two to three day usually less handling time on them also, Check then out on the performabuilt website,

guess that would depend on the STR ratio you got. Get something high and it's going to lack up top. But I won't disagree with you. They're very good converters, very efficient. Prolly not as efficient as a Yank (as backed by a few fellow b-car members who have ran both) up top, but Edge Converters do hit pretty darn good down low

I just bought a Edge Converter, very nice piece, customer service was great for me, call and talked to Andre, down to earth and seemed to know his stuff. On their site they advertise to be very effiecent, I got a 3200 with a 2.4 str, just putting around the block but moved when i took my foot off the break and hit pretty hard when i stepped on it some, we'll see what it does this spring at the track

Took me alittle longer to get because it was around the hoildays and they shut down for 1-1/2 weeks for maintenace. I have the 3000 w/2.4 str and it rocks, around town is good and when you get on it, it moves this was the fastest my car has felt w/ my 3.42 gears.
I been wanting to go to the track but with my hours of work I can't for now.
Edge is a very top notch company just like the pictures.

Well, I called yesterday morning and I still haven't gotten a call back yet. This is the second time I've called and I've sent two email previously in the last two month and I still haven't heard from them. I really would like to support them because all I hear are good things about them, but I can't buy something from someone that doesn't want to sell me anything. I might be forced to go with a Yank or a Vigilante, but I really want an Edge.

There is one guy really at EDGE, almost a one man operation. Andre the owner. He is the goto guy that will do you exactly what you need.
I have ordered several from there and had great service. I got my converter's on average 5 business days after ordered..
I swapped from a Vigilante to an EDGE of the same stall and picked up 3 mph and 3 tenths on a n/a 9 sec car.
My 4200 pro edge is awesome for the money in another car.

Well, appearently the people that answer are a pager service. They take a message and leave it for him. Then he calls when he gets it. Talked to him a couple of time and he gave me his direct number to his desk. Great guy that Andre. 3600 Street Edge w/ 2.45 STR being built for me. I can't wait

I have had my 3000 stall 2.4 STR for over 2.5 years and I am very happy with it. The transmission runs cool with my B&M super cooler, probably lost a full sec. off my quarter mile using the converter.
