Question will 4L60E trans hold up?

I have hooker catback and i am getting a transgo shift kit along with longtube headers and a off road y-pipe. I have heard that the stock 4L60E trans isn't that strong. Should i be worried about the trans going out on me???

things to do to keep your trans alive. go easy on the slicks, and run a trans cooler.

have you looked into the electric shift improvers? its an electronic trans so you dont "need" to pull the pan and install a kit

stock is fine until you do heavy modding. Then you will need to start to upgrade

i hear people say that the tranny wont hold up. but i think its how u drive your car also. i mean, if u dog yur car, you try to MANUALLY shift your car, do burnouts, and all that stuff then yeah its gonna go. ive seen people also rip 10's on the stock tranny.

I am in the process of replacing my trans with 84,000 hwy miles on it. I have only made 4 trips down the quarter,1 burnout and other than that, its on the road for vacations and such. No ******* or manually shifting, jack rabbit lights or anything. Just taking it easy and it went......
