Well what tranny is this going into?? I would say 1. Neal Chance 2. ATI 3. Yank

That's if it's in a TH400 or TH350. If in a 4l60e I would go with a Yank.

 

Yank! I burned up my tranny last x-mas and the only thing that survived was the converter. From what I hear it takes quite a bit to break them.

Don't cheap out on these kinds of parts. I had a TCI, because it was the cheapest (between TCI, Vig and Yank at the time, 3-4 years ago) at the time and fairly popular as a 'bang for your buck' part. It failed on me. Had it rebuilt and restalled by TCI. Failed again. Sold it. Bought a Yank.

if you want to lock the clutch up at WOT hands down the Vig MultiDisc 3 or 5 plate in a 9.5" does the job.. it is expensive though they say you get what you pay for (I too learned the "cheaper TCI" isn't the way to go)..

 

I've had two Yanks and wouldn't have anything else.

 

seems like every other thread title you read in this forum is basically the same thing... but FWIW, you cant go wrong with either Yank or PI...

 

Well I guess Im just the opposite of everybody else. My converter was a YANK, it shot the ****, sent it back to them and they wouldnt touch it. Then TCI took it in, gave it a full 4400 rebuild, and it has ran great ever since. I dont think you can go wrong with VIG, Yank. But I only went with TCI because it was my buddys coverter first. I love it, would never switch unless it shot the **** too. But at this point, i love it. I think if I were you I would go VIG or Yank, or just call TCi and see what they say!
