4L60e no lockup
All of a sudden the converter is not locking up. The converter itself is only about 2yrs old. It is a Yank ss3600. What could be causing this problem? Could it be the tranny or is it just the converter? All4 gears in the tranny work fine, just no lockup.

I just swapped out the MAF sensor since the check engine light came on for it this week. I have not reset my battery yet to get rid of the check engine light. Could this have anything to do with it?
Also, I am not familiar with the lockup solenoid.

Well, resetting the battery did not fix the problem. I currently do not have a scanner in front of me, but the light came right back on again. The ECU is set to lock up the converter at 35mph. Other than that, without the scanner in front of me I do not know.
The car died at a stop light the other day and the light has been on since then. The only code that showed up that normally does not was the MAF sensor code. I changed the sensor, but the light is still on and the converter is not locking up.
I will hopefully be able to scan the car again tomorrow.

I don't have different codes showing currently. Is there any way it could be the TCC or PMW solenoid? Do they just go out like that? I am unsure if they would set a SES light but no code.

Problem solved! I found the fuse labeled "Eng Sen" under the hood blown. I put in a new one and the SES light went out and the converter is now locking up again. I
don't exactly know why this blown fuse was keeping my converter from locking up though. Maybe because of the MAF code I got earlier?

Hey that's cool... good for you!
Grab your owners manual or a shop manual and look to see what devices are on that fuse... best to do a little homework now as it may happen again in the future. KNowing what all is on that fues might help you to diagnose the condition... many times there are several load devices on a given fuse. Example... intererior lamps and the cigar lighter can be on the same fuse. Fuses do not ordinarilly burn without an overload.
