What size stall for a TR 230??

I don't think it would be bad, make sure your converter has an anti ballooning plate installed though. At a light 100 -150 shot it shouldn't get into trouble... but anything more and it could easily balloon and bad things happen when that happens at high rpm's.

it really depends on the size shot you want to run. its just going to take a little more throttle input to get it rolling and driving in general... once its locked, they are all the same. You wont need a converter that big until you get up in the high 230's duration. I'd go with the 3600 if it were me. That cam and the bottle will work extremely well with the SS3600... and still be extremely streetable.
There is a sticky up top that says the optimum stall speed for LS1's with ~230 duration cam is 4000-4400. I loved the SS4000 with wy TR230, but my tranny just gave up the ghost so I'm upping to the PT4400 with 4.10's! A litte extreme.....oh yeah. Just the way I like it.
