What converter?

What converter? Ok I am trying to figure out what converter will work the best for me, hold up and be easiest on the wallet. Here are my options and keep in mind that my car will have a LS6 intake, tune, lid and exhaust and some sticky tires.
1. Brand new, fuddle P.3600/2.2 STR - $450
2. Used, PI vigilante 2800/2.7 STR - $400(Might have 1 free restall still)
Since I will be keeping this car a Bolton car and might receive a cam later down the road I don’t want to buy an $800 yank or something like that but might spring for the Fuddle HP Street it is much better. What do you think I should go with?

VIg if it has the restall u can get what u want and have a badass reliable converter.....I thought the same way u did and got a fuddle the first time around and it worked great for a while... thought i did the smart thing and saved money till the fuddle took a **** on me and took my tranny down with it....ended up have to get a new stall and tranny..cost me double in the end, but i dont regret this Vig 3600 i have now tho, thats for damn sure!!

Well I have heard from two tranny builders that are well known around here they have had quite a few failures and just about everyone agrees there is better for the money. Either way I don’t have $800+ to lay down on just a converter.

I've heard that many convertors are made by the same people, just use different names. I'm trying to find more info on this but i got good sources saying that just about all the convertors for our cars out there are build only by a few companies. Just some food for thought

You've been given bad info......Yank's have proven themselves time and again. The same goes for Vigs. Those are two companies you can't go wrong with. If you do a search on here, you'll find very few threads concerning problems with either one of these companies. On the other hand, that same search would result in numerous hits against Fuddle. I'm not ******* Fuddle, just giving you heads up. Of your two choices, the only answer is to go with the Vig.

I've had a Fuddle, a TCI, a Vig, and a Yank.
Currently running the Yank with no regrets.
Save up, believe me. The money you save with a cheaper converter doesn't last long when you have to pay to pull it out once it's junk...I speak from experience.

After reading numerous posts and doing research I will be going with a Yank for sure. You will find very little negative information about them and chances are the people that had negative encounters with them it was mostlt their fault and not the companies.
Agree on the comment about stop modding your car now if you don't have $800 for a converter because it only gets worse from here. Might want to look for a new hobby. LOL

I have $800 but don’t want to spend it on just a converter. I have about 2 grand saved up now and just trying to make it go as far as possible like the rest of you guy's.
