I have a TCI(ssf3500). I've had it for over 2 years with no problems, although I had a friend who had a tci 300 stall and it would not lock up after a short while.TCI did fix it though. Although if you search you will see that their has been issues with other brands as well. EVERY company will have issues from time to time, its what a company does do resolve it when or if it happens. TCI has been around for awhile, and I anticipate they will continue to be around for awhile. I do plan on stepping up to a 4000 stall. As far is which brand/series/type I'm not sure just yet. We'll see in spring. I plan on taking rides in diff cars with diff stalls to see which one I like

I had three TCI converter and ALL of them broke within a few weeks of each other. They are JUNK! Go with a Yank. You can't beat that 3 year warranty, plus, they have been proven to be one the best 4l60e converter out there.
