mounting my tranny cooler.
I know people that put it behind the airdam, and lay it flat, cut a few holes in the airdam right infront of the cooler to get air flow. It seems to work w/ no cooling problems.

This actually sounds like a pretty decent idea.
I think the problem will be with making sure the
cooler doesn't bang around between the two. My
cooler came with only 4 little foam cushions
and those through-the-fins keeper straps. I guess
if you could get more of those foams and (here's
the tricky part) get everything laced up nicely
even though you can't really get down in there to
line things up, it would be a nice hidden install.
Another option I was considering (but ended up
just mounting it out front) was using one or two
12V PC muffin fans and a little aluminum shroud,
to make a self-contained cooler that could go
anywhere since it makes its own airflow. Just
need an amp or so of 12V power. Dunno about how
the brushless fans do in the weather, though.

Ok. I ended up mounting it between the condenser and radiator. Nice and easy lol. Hardest part was getting those zip straps through the radiator without causing much damage. I bought one extra strap and put the foam pieces on the radiator side, ran zip through radiator and center of cooler, then put the other 4 all the way through radiator cooler and condenser. It worked well. No movement of cooler, and very hidden. Thanks for the comments guys.

I got the biggest perma cool one from summit and it fit in front of the radiator just looses the top take the whole balck air filter houseing off and slideit down from the top.

White 98z I too have the large perma cool but, I have the fast toys ram air kit and it (the cooler would not fit in front of the condenser because of it. It wouldn't fit where dope has his either because it was too large. Sooo... between the radiator and condenser it went.

The most efficient is in front of the condensor. Next most efficient is what you did. Third is the Dope style. Has to do with airflow thru the cooler.
