I like Valvoline Maxlife. It has worked great for me in all my cars.

Royal Purple here, use it in Everything from my WS6, Bike, Grand Cherokee, 89 Turbo Grand Prix.

I even use the Engine oil and Diff fluid also. Hell I even use the Water Wetter in the rad on my bike!

DEX/MERC is recommended for most GM, Ford, Toyota and honda. It should tell you on the bottle.

If you have been running DIII I would recomend you stick with it. The later versions contain some synthetic and are more slippery. When I swapped mine out I immediately felt softer shifts from the new formula. 49K on car and tranny at the time. If your a new car with it from the factory or run it from day one in a rebuild I would think the new is better. I don't recommend swapping over though.

Mercon V is the newer specification for Mercon - Ford has been using Mercon V
in their vehicles for 8+ years.

You should be using a Dexron III. I've had both my tranny (FLT) and T.C (Yank)
folks tell me to use Dexron III. GM began factory-filling Dexron VI in April 2005.
